Ryan's Lamborghini Countach

Below are excerpts from Ryan's kit car build diary. Please visit his site for the full story.

Lamborghini Day! The car is delivered Monday, November 4th, 2002.

It's amazing the attention that it gets, even up on jackstands inside my garage.

I can't wait to get her cleaned up and on the road! Lot's of work ahead.

I have made much progress on the car.  It's been towed several places and even driven now. YEA!  I have met probably 40 strangers so far just around town the few days it's been out, mostly at various shops. I also have hollers, yells and people stopping by the house when I'm working on her in the garage. People are always very nice and really enjoy the car.  It's a great feeling to see people's faces when they see it.

Since I last posted, I have done a lot to my little red Lamborghini. Its now surrounded by tools, various parts and everything is covered with bondo and fiberglass dust. Yes. I have jumped into it and it will be a while before its back out on the road.

The mechanic Pat from Pats Automotive in Santa Maria took two days to clear up several sensor problems and bad engine wiring. I then towed it to the muffler shop to have the exhaust pipes rebuilt. I pulled the previous exhaust off myself, from the cat back. The previous owners cut holes in the muffler (in an attempt to make it louder?) or it just blew out somehow, anyway there's a new muffler in it. No exhaust tips or fancy pipes yet
